When is Hanukkah, the Festival of Light?

Hanukkah starts on the Hebrew calendar date of 25 Kislev, and lasts for eight days. Here are the coinciding secular dates for the upcoming years:

When is Hanukkah 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015?

2008: December 22-29

2009: December 12-19

2010: December 2-9

2011: December 21-28

2012: December 9-16

2013: November 28-December 5

2014: December 17-24

2015: December 7-14

Bear in mind that the Jewish calendar date begins at sundown of the night beforehand. Thus the first candle of the menorah is lit the night before the dates listed above. The menorah must be lit BEFORE lighting the Shabbat Candles (18 minutes before sunset). The menorah must be lit AFTER Shabbat ends and the Havdalah is recited.
